It’s finally time!
The books have arrived, I’ve been enjoying them for a bit, and now it’s time to tell you - were they worth waiting for?!
The recap of my twice yearly cookbooks worth waiting for reviews are here, featuring four recent releases from the first half of this year.
If you are new here, twice a year I compile a list of upcoming cookbook releases, the ones I think will be ‘worth waiting for’. I spend most of my year awaiting the cookbook releases I am most excited about, and thus this list was born. Since you have subscribed to my newsletter, you might be a bit interested in cookbooks too?
So in the vein of sharing is caring, here are my thoughts on a few of the recent releases I was most excited about.
Did you add any of these to your cookbook collection? Let me know what you thought of them in the comments here or on the linked blog post.
P.S. I’ll be popping into your inbox again this weekend, I’m sharing a new cake recipe with my paid subscribers but I’m going to share the love and send to all so everyone can enjoy it. See you then.
Check out more recipes over on the paid version of this newsletter featuring, A Ginger Sponge Cake, A Festive Boiled Fruit Cake and A Caramel Ginger Pudding. See the whole archive here and sign up to support my work and get it all straight to your inbox or Substack feed!
Rose Sugar Cookie Hearts
This one is for the rose lovers. Studded with crystallised rose petals and topped with a rose icing, these are a delicious sweet treat. Pink food colouring can be used in the icing if you can’t get rose powder.
