Cookbooks Worth Waiting For in 2024
Get Those Cookbook Shelves Ready! - Friday Food Chat with Kath
Since we’ve discussed which cookbooks were the favourites of 2023, it’s time to look forward to what will be released in 2024.
There are quite a few exciting releases coming up for those of us who love cookbooks this year. I’ve listed my top picks in the blog post linked below, and I’m sure some of them will be on your list too.
There is something incredibly exciting about the anticipation of a new cookbook from a favourite food writer, and equally the excitement of finding something new and discovering the voice and ideas of a cookbook author you’ve never heard of before. I am feeling both levels of excitement for this year’s cookbook releases, and luckily I don’t have to wait long for the release dates to come round.
Which new cookbook releases are you most looking forward to this year? Are you keen to find new titles from authors you already love? Or maybe discover a cookbook or author who is new to you?
Let me know in the comments of this newsletter or in the blog post, I’d love to know which books you are most excited about for 2024.
The last paid subscribers newsletter was an Heirloom Recipe from my Grandma’s collection for Caramel Fingers! Take a look here and sign up to get it all straight to your inbox or Substack feed!
Caramilk Biscuits
Why is it still so hot?! Ok I know it’s still Summer here in Sydney, but I am officially over not being able to put the oven on without overheating the house and everyone in it. When the need to bake gets too strong, I am making quick and simple biscuits like these ones. Swap the oil for 125g melted butter for a biscuit dough that freezes well, and it hopefully goes without saying that you can also use whatever chocolate you wish in these!
