Cookbooks Worth Waiting for 2024 Part 2
The Cookbooks Cooking in the Second Half of this Year - Friday Food Chat with Kath
Now we are over half way through the year it’s time to look ahead to what new cookbooks will be released in the remainder of 2024.
Will they be worth waiting for?!
Click here to read my picks for the cookbooks I think will be worth waiting for the the second half of this year.
There are of course more releases upcoming than what I have included in my list, and you might notice some popular picks not included on this list. I am in need of further convincing that some of the upcoming new releases (not included on my list) are ‘worth waiting for’ and hence they did not make the cut.
Do you have your eye on any upcoming releases from my list? Or do you have wish list that looks completely different? Let me know in the comments of the linked blog post or here in the newsletter comments.
In other cookbook related news, I shared an update on the progress of my cookbook (yes I’m writing/shooting another!) with my paid subscribers. You can read some more below.

Lumberjack Cake
This cake featuring apples and dates with a crunchy maple coconut topping, is a staple for Winter baking. Just looking at it is making me hungry! I plan to make this soon with some Aussie grown dates I found online recently.

I’m not sure that I have another Ottolenghi book in me! Although I do like Helen’s recipes so I might reserve my judgement until it comes out. Sofra looks good as does Karkalla, neither of which I have heard about. I have Sift on preorder as well as Natures Candy. I like the look of Alexandra Stafford’s book Pizza Night and Desi Bakes by Hetal Vasavada. Some of the decorating looks a bit over the top for me but I like the idea of Indian inspired baking. I’m sure there will be more!
That lumberjack cake …. Yes please ! Gorgeous.
