About Kath and Kulinary Adventures of Kath
Hi, I’m Kath (she/her) and I’m so happy to welcome you to Kulinary Adventures of Kath on Substack.
I am a recipe developer, food stylist and photographer based in Sydney, Australia. I use these skills for clients so they have beautiful photography and recipes to share with their customers. If you are interested in working with me you can find out more here.
I also utilise these skills and my love of food and photography in everything I do as Kulinary Adventures of Kath both here on Substack, over on my blog and Instagram account.
I have written three books, two eBooks and one self published cookbook called ‘Everyday Bakes’. ‘Everyday Bakes’ is now out of print, however digital copies are still available here. I am currently working on a new cookbook whose ETA is still very much TBD!
I have a blog in addition to my Substack, which I have been posting recipes and cookbook chat on for over 10 years. So if you are ever in need of a recipe, there are lots of check out over there (as well as the list below!).
Substack is the home of both my free newsletter Friday Food Chat with Kath, and, my paid newsletter Extra Food Chat with Kath. These newsletters are an extension of everything I have been doing under the banner of Kulinary Adventures of Kath over the last decade.
I love food, and baking in particular, in season ingredients, interesting and new things to try, I am obsessed with cookbooks and I enjoying finding connection with people and the past through food. I bring all of these interests (and obsessions!) and my skills as a recipe developer and photographer, to you via my newsletters in the hope you will find some nice things to read and bake.
The adventures here are slow paced and calm, hopefully enjoyed with a slice of cake and a cup of tea. I live with chronic illness so I have no choice but to live life and my food adventures at a slow and calm place. I believe baking can be joyful and meditative, and something that can be enjoyed even when time, energy or motivation are low. Baking a cake doesn’t have to be a multi-hour or day long process. Sometimes the simplest recipes bring the most comfort. Those recipes that can be incorporated into our everyday lives, no matter what barriers you have in front of you are mostly the ones you will find me baking, eating and sharing here with you.
If you haven’t joined me already, I’d love to have you, please sign up below!
